Governors Island Surf Guide
Governors Island in East Coast of Tasmania is an exposed reef break that has pretty consitent surf, although summer tends to be mostly flat. Works best in offshore winds from the west. Waves just as likely from local windswells as from distant groundswells and the optimum swell angle is from the east. There is no reef break. Rarely crowded here. Hazards include - Urchins - Rips / undertow - Rocks - Localism - Sharks.
