Mata Veri on the West Coast is an exposed point break that does not work very often. Summer in particular tends to be flat. Works best in offshore winds from the east northeast. Clean groundswells prevail and the best swell direction is from the southwest.The break here is a left hand point. Good surf at all stages of the tide. Unlikely to be too crowded, even when the surf is up. Beware of urchins, rips, rocks and sharks.
