Las Gaviotas Surf Guide
Las Gaviotas in Tenerife is a fairly exposed beach and reef break that only works once in a while. Winter is the optimum time of year for surfing here. Offshore winds blow from the northwest. Clean groundswells prevail and the best swell direction is from the south southeast. The beach break provides left and right handers. Best around mid tide. Unlikely to be too crowded, even when the surf is up. Watch out for cliffs at high tide.
