Fortress in Long Island NY is an exposed reef break that has pretty consitent surf and can work at any time of the year. Offshore winds blow from the west northwest. Windswells and groundswells in equal measure and the optimum swell angle is from the southeast. Primarily a right hand reef break, although a left is also possible.. Surfable at all stages of the tide. It's often crowded here. Take care to avoid the rocks.
