Back Beach Surf Guide
Back Beach in the Perth Area is an exposed beach break that has reliable surf, although summer tends to be mostly flat. Offshore winds blow from the northeast. Clean groundswells prevail and the optimum swell angle is from the southwest. Waves at the beach are both lefts and rights. The quality of the surf isn't affected by the tide. When it's working here, it can get crowded. Hazards include rips and locals.
