Looking down the coast from Sandhills towards Anatori and distant Kahurangi point a long stretch of remote coast and mostly unnamed beach, rivermouth and reef breaks. Taken about high water. Long period swells about 1m high with very light winds are always good on this coast. Bigger swells may or may not work and rare north swells that coincide with favourable winds are reputed to be best of all. Very exposed coast and almost never flat. Even a 1m swell makes for head high waves with the odd bigger set.
