Goolwa Rivermouth Swell Statistics, All Year: All Swell – Any Wind

The figure describes the variation of swells directed at Goolwa Rivermouth through a typical year, based on 30436 NWW3 model predictions since 2006 (values every 3 hours). The wave model does not forecast wind and surf right at the coast so we have chosen the most applicable grid node based on what we know about Goolwa Rivermouth. In the case of Goolwa Rivermouth, the best grid node is 59 km away (37 miles).

The rose diagram shows the distribution of swell directions and swell sizes, while the graph at the bottom shows the same thing without direction information. Five colours show increasing wave sizes.
