Playa de Mendia in Asturias is a fairly exposed beach break that has quite consistent surf and can work at any time of the year. The best wind direction is from the south. Windswells and groundswells in equal measure and the ideal swell angle is from the north northwest. The beach break offers both left and right hand waves. Best around low tide. Even when there are waves, it's not likley to be crowded. Take care to avoid the rocks.
