Playa Grande in Ancash is an exposed beach and point break that has fairly consistent surf. The favoured time of year for waves is autumn. Offshore winds blow from the northwest. Tends to receive distant groundswells and the best swell direction is from the south. Waves at the beach are both lefts and rights and there is also a left hand point break. Relatively few surfers here, even on good days. Take care of rocks in the line up.
