Jakes in North West is an exposed point break that has reliable surf, although summer tends to be mostly flat. The best wind direction is from the southeast. Groundswells more frequent than windswells and the ideal swell angle is from the southwest.The break here is a left hand point. Best around mid tide. When it's working here, it can get crowded. Watch out for rips, rocks and sharks.
