Honopue Bay in Big Island is an exposed beach and reef break that has dependable surf and can work at any time of the year. Offshore winds are from the south southwest. Tends to receive distant groundswells and the best swell direction is from the northeast. The beach breaks offer lefts and rights. Good surf at all stages of the tide. Unlikely to be too crowded, even when the surf is up. Watch out for rips and sharks.
