Chicken Reef in Rottnest Island is an exposed reef break that has dependable surf, although summer tends to be mostly flat. Offshore winds are from the north northeast. Tends to receive distant groundswells and the ideal swell direction is from the south southwest. A reef breaks left. Unlikely to be too crowded, even when the surf is up. Watch out for sharks and rocks.
