Alkimos in the Perth Area is an exposed reef break that is usually a safe bet and works all around the year. Works best in offshore winds from the east northeast. Clean groundswells prevail and the best swell direction is from the southwest. The reef provides both left and right breaks. Rarely crowded here. Hazards include rocks, locals and sharks.
